What We Do
We buy, sell, trade, repair and restore antique vending machines to support our collection. This is not a business for us, it is a fun hobby that has allowed us to meet people from all walks of life over the past 30 years. Visit the For Sale page if you’re interested in buying machines, globes or parts. If you have something for sale, need repairs or have any questions, contact me.
I started collecting old coin operated vending machines about 22 years ago with the purchase of a Victor Baby Grand gum ball vendor. That first machine is still in my collection. I now specialize in antique and vintage gum and gum ball vending machines and other coin operated machines. My eBay screen name, puregum, is derived from the early days of chewing gum, around the turn of the century. In those days, manufacturers and sellers wanted the buyer to know their product was "pure" and contained no contaminants. Wrigley's even advertised that their gum contained "only natural flavors and no grit".
Whether you are an advanced collector or just starting out, please contact me if you want to buy, sell or trade machines. I am also happy to answer any questions you may have about machines, the hobby, etc.
Anyone that is interested in collecting coin operated machines should join the Coin Operated Collectors Association (C.O.C.A.). This is a great organization that is beneficial for all levels of coin op collectors. Just click on the link above and it will take you right to the C.O.C.A. web site.
